Warming up the next few days
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Expect a few passing high and mid level clouds this morning over south-central Kansas, however sunshine and mild temperatures will prevail through the afternoon. Highs will range from the 40s over the snow covered areas to the 50s elsewhere. Cold tonight with some potential for dense fog developing over SE-Kansas again, otherwise mostly clear to partly cloudy skies across Kansas. More sunshine and warmer temperatures to start the work week with highs in the 50s.
South winds increasing and becoming gusty on Tuesday ahead of our next weather system that arrives Wednesday. This weather system will bring a chance of precipitation to the region. Scattered rain showers mixed with snow for northern Kansas most of the day with a transition of rain to snow across southern Kansas through the evening. Some accumulations are possible, but it’s too early to pinpoint how much or the exact locations. Those details coming in the next couple of days. Highs Tuesday in the 50s, falling into the upper 30s and low 40s by Wednesday and Thursday. Another shot of cold air will keep temperatures near normal (near 40) through the end of the week into next weekend.
