More showers, more storms- plenty of humidity
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Scattered showers and a few rumbles over central Kansas today, meanwhile strong to severe storms will move into western Kansas this evening. Large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary severe weather threats within the “Slight Risk” after 8 PM. Warm, breezy and humid today and Monday with temperatures in the 70s and low 80s. Humid tonight with showers and storms diminishing after midnight. Lows in the 50s and 60s.
Another warm, muggy and mostly cloudy day to start the work week. Most areas of central and eastern Kansas should remain dry, however severe storms are expected (again) across parts of western Kansas during the late day and overnight hours.
More chances of scattered storms for the remainder of the week with most storms occurring during the evening and overnight hours. Storms on Tuesday and Thursday could be more numerous and possibly severe. If we see some sunshine that will increase the instability across the region and increase the threat for severe weather. Highs in the 80s through Thursday. More scattered storms in the forecast for the Memorial Day weekend.
