Typical June weather this weekend
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Expect a nice weekend with dry weather conditions and warm temperatures. While the northern Plains are dealing with record heat and highs in the 90s to 100, Kansas will remain closer to normal for early June with highs in the 80s to near 90. The warmest temperatures will reach the upper 80s and low 90s across western Kansas through the weekend because skies will remain clear. More clouds across central and eastern Kansas will keep temperatures in the 80s. An isolated “pop-up” thunderstorm or two is possible across the Flint Hills and southeast Kansas during the afternoon Sunday.
Mainly dry and continued warm and humid through the upcoming work week. Highs in the 80s to near 90. The heat index will approach 100 by Thursday and Friday. An isolated late day “pop-up” type thunderstorm is possible Monday through Friday. Temperatures will remain near normal or slightly above normal through next weekend.
