WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Starting out the morning with mostly cloudy skies and humid conditions across Kansas. The clouds today will keep temperatures slightly below normal for early June with highs in the low to mid-80s for central Kansas. Warmer temperatures across western Kansas with more sunshine expected in those areas. Quiet weather will continue overnight with only an isolated shower or storm possible by early morning across southern Kansas.

An upper level disturbance will move from Oklahoma into Kansas and Missouri by Monday bringing isolated “pop-up” type showers to mainly southeast Kansas, however there is a slight chance we could see a few of these in south-central Kansas too. Same story for Tuesday with warm humid weather and isolated afternoon showers/storms possible. A warming trend towards the middle of the week with highs exceeding 90 degrees and heat indices approaching 100 Wednesday and Thursday. Upper 80s and 90s will continue through next weekend with dry weather expected across the entire state.
