LINDSBORG, Kan. (KWCH) - Where’s Shane? This Thursday, he’s in the hidden gem of Lindsborg, Kan., one of the stops for his Trips on a Tankful segment.

The town of Lindsborg will host the Midsummer’s Festival this weekend (Saturday, June 12-Sunday, June 13). Some of the events include the kubb tournament, raising the pole and a Vikings reenactment.

While you’re in town, you might want to sneak out of town, to Coronado Heights Park. The castle is reminiscent of the view from Sterling Castle in Scotland. A trip to the “castle” can provide its own day trip opportunity. With views in all directions, there are also grills, fireplaces and stone picnic tables located around the edge of hill.

If you’re looking to go somewhere with the family, and you’re not looking to go far, the spots we’re highlighting - like Lindsborg! You can find more info on the festival at www.midsummersfestival.com.
