Less humidity- plenty of sunshine
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - In the wake of Friday night’s storms, we expect less humidity through the weekend. Sunshine will prevail and north winds will produce more comfortable weather through Sunday. Highs will reach the upper 80s and low 90s both days. Isolated storms are possible this evening across far southwestern Kansas, while the remainder of the state stays dry.
Humid weather returns Monday with the heat and humidity building throughout the week ahead. Temperatures will be about 5-10 degrees above normal for mid-June. The heat index will be the highest on Wednesday and Thursday (approaching 100-105 degrees). A slight chance of late day showers and storms Friday, with our next weather system moving through during the afternoon. More chances of showers and storms over the weekend as our weather pattern begins to change.
