Hot, but not humid today
(KWCH) - Meteorologist Jake Dunne says after a very warm Monday in the lower to middle 90s, temperatures will climb a little higher today. However, highs in the middle to upper 90s this afternoon will be accompanied by relatively low humidity.
Highs in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees Wednesday through Friday will feel like 100 to 105 degrees when you factor in climbing humidity. Please limit your outdoor activities during the afternoon and if you must be outside during the heat of the day, remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade.
The next (and only) meaningful chance of rain rolls in this weekend as a weak cold front moves across the state. While exact details, especially the timing are to be determined, scattered showers and storms are possible followed by slightly cooler temperatures early next week.
