WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Former Wichita State Shocker guard Tekele Cotton announced Wednesday that he is joining the Aftershocks, a team comprised of players from Wichita State’s alumni basketball team for The Basketball Tournament (TBT) on ESPN.

The Aftershocks will headline the TBT’s 16-team regional at Charles Koch Arena July 16-20. A 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event will be televised live on ESPN for 2021.

Wichita was going to host a regional in 2020, but the tournament was moved to a bubble in Columbus, Ohio due to the pandemic.

Wichita hosted a TBT regional in 2019, breaking the tournament’s attendance records for four days straight.

Tickets to the summer event are available through the Shocker Ticket Office online or on the phone, (316) 978-3267.
