Rock River Rapids to participate in World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) - Rock River Rapids is inviting the public out Thursday morning to participate in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson.

It was created by the World Water Park Association in 2020. Rock River Rapids has been participating since its inception.

Registration for the World’s Largest Swimming lesson begins at 9:30 a.m. The lesson starts at 10 a.m. and lasts for 30 minutes.

People will learn water safety, flutter kicking, gliding, blowing bubbles, how to bob, floating, front crawl, back crawl, and how to safely enter and exit the water. The swimming lesson is open to everyone.
