Very hot again Friday
The heat continues through the rest of the week
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says that very hot weather will continue Friday and through the weekend before relief arrives early next week.
Skies will remain mostly clear overnight. It will be warm with low temperatures falling into the low to mid 70s.
Friday will bring plentiful sunshine and more hot weather. Afternoon highs will range from 100 to 105 degrees for most of the state with breezy south winds.
More hot weather is expected through the weekend with highs from 95 to 100 degrees both Saturday and Sunday.
A few showers and storms will be possible Saturday evening over parts of western Kansas. More storms could develop Sunday evening along a cold front over portions of central and eastern Kansas.
Behind the front, high temperatures will return to the low to mid 80s through the start of next week with low humidity.
