WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is asking for the community’s help to identify a man associated with a death investigation.

Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, officers responded to a welfare check call in the 1600 block of South Emporia. They arrived to find 18-year-old Brock Beat of Wichita, unresponsive inside a White 2008 Lexus ES350. Beat was pronounced deceased on the scene with no apparent injuries.

Detectives learned that Beat had a history of drugs, and they believed that to be a factor in his death. Detectives also learned the man they are searching for had previously dropped off the Lexus on Emporia. Detectives would like to speak to the man to continue the investigation.

If you know the man’s identity or how detectives can contact him, please call WPD detectives at 316-268-4407 or email Detective Chisholm at RChisholm@wichita.gov
