DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) - Update June 23: The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office identified Shawn Glass of Derby as the person killed in Wednesday night’s motorcycle crash.

Just before 10 p.m., Glass was riding southbound on Greenwich through the T-intersection at 71st St. South when he left the roadway, went into a wooded area and was ejected. Glass, 35, died at the scene.

Speed and impaired driving are believed to be factors in the crash, and the circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.

A stop sign is posted for southbound traffic at the Greenwich and 71st St. South intersection. A two-direction arrow sign is posted along the south edge of 71st St. South and is visible to southbound traffic.

Update: The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a man in his 30s died from his injuries in Wednesday night’s motorcycle crash near East 71st Street South and Greenwich Road, in Derby. The sheriff’s office confirmed the motorcycle was the lone vehicle involved in the crash reported a little before 10 p.m.
