Salina police identify shooting victim, woman arrested

SALINA, Kan. (KWCH) - Update: Salina police have identified a man shot and killed on Sunday as 35-year Cory Dale Riley, of Salina.
Police arrested 30-year-old Tyler Justeane Stanfield, of Salina, in connection to a deadly shooting. Stanfield was arrested on the charges of first-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by an addicted person, and possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Salina police officers found Riley on Sunday with a gunshot wound in the 200 block of S. 10th Street. He was taken to Salina Regional Health Center, where he underwent surgery. He died at the hospital.
A 35-year-old Salina man died following a shooting Sunday, the Salina Police Department said.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of S. 10th St. in Salina. Police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to Salina Regional Health Center, where he underwent surgery. The man died while at the hospital.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide by the Salina Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. A person of interest is in custody.
The victim’s name and the time of the shooting are currently unknown.
